The aim of these courses is to not to spend an inordinate amount of time teaching music history, but to concentrate on music theory , technique and most importantly playing !!!
How is this achieved you may ask? Simple really, by using the tried and tested modular approach. Building technique and confidence using each brick of information (i.e. Module) to enable all students to create their own piece of Art.
OBJECTIVES
Each Course has clearly defined objectives, which have been achieved with over 80% of student success, using the modular method of study. The Objectives are determined by the Level the student has attained . Thus, a student commencing Foundation 1 will have differing criteria set to the Student commencing Fusion 1.
With time, patience and application a student will ( and they do !!) progress from the non playing perspective of Module 1 of Foundation 1 to Module 4 of Fusion 2 .The only two requirements that need to be in constant attendance are
PERSISTENCE and DETERMINATION.
Each Course is designed to ENABLE students to attain defined objectives and are presented in clear , simple terms to allow the brick (i.e Module) by brick approach to constructing your own Musical and Artistic House.
The criteria will be determined thus :
SUITABLE ,
CHALLENGING,
ACHIEVABLE,
REALISTIC.
The only "SCAR" you will get from applying yourself to these courses.(Reggae comes later !!)
STYLE
To enable each student to maximize his / her potential these courses are conducted in a modular fashion. Each Course is divided into Modules with each having its own key objectives. Each step is clearly defined with
SIMPLE WORDS , SIMPLE EXPLANATIONS, PLAIN ENGLISH.
There is no time limit, each student works to his / her own pace .
CONTENT
The information expressed in each Module of each course will enable the student to fulfil his / her own ambitions regardless of the modesty or enormity of that ambition. The simplicity of the explanations in no way detracts from the quality of the content. This just breaks down large unmanageable chunks of information into Bitesize and easily digestible Mindfood !!
